Goal Card</h1><p data-start="2210" data-end="2228">Draw a simple bee.</p><p data-start="2230" data-end="2252">Inside the bee, write:</p><h3 data-section-id="9ptxob" data-start="2254" data-end="2289">This Week I Will Be Brave By&#8230;</h3><p data-start="2291" data-end="2313">Then fill in the goal.</p><p data-start="2315" data-end="2324">Examples:</p><p data-start="2326" data-end="2370">🐝 &#8220;I will introduce myself to someone new.&#8221;</p><p data-start="2372" data-end="2410">🐝 &#8220;I will learn how to ride my bike.&#8221;</p><p data-start="2412" data-end="2453">🐝 &#8220;I will try swimming in the deep end.&#8221;</p><p data-start="2455" data-end="2490">Place the card on the refrigerator.</p><hr data-start="2492" data-end="2495" /><h1 data-section-id="qmaua" data-start="2497" data-end="2529">Celebrate Courage, Not Results</h1><p data-start="2531" data-end="2587">This is where many parents accidentally miss the lesson.</p><p data-start="2589" data-end="2633">Don&#8217;t celebrate whether the child succeeded.</p><p data-start="2635" data-end="2661">Celebrate that they tried.</p><p data-start="2663" data-end="2674">Instead of:</p><p data-start="2676" data-end="2704">❌ &#8220;Did you do it perfectly?&#8221;</p><p data-start="2706" data-end="2710">Try:</p><p data-start="2712" data-end="2744">✅ &#8220;I&#8217;m proud of you for trying.&#8221;</p><p data-start="2746" data-end="2768">✅ &#8220;That took courage.&#8221;</p><p data-start="2770" data-end="2816">✅ &#8220;You kept going even when you felt nervous.&#8221;</p><p data-start="2818" data-end="2885">This teaches children that courage is about action, not perfection.</p><hr data-start="2887" data-end="2890" /><h1 data-section-id="1tgb8tv" data-start="2892" data-end="2920">Penelope&#8217;s Courage Journal</h1><p data-start="2922" data-end="2951">At the end of each week, ask:</p><h3 data-section-id="wo4gc2" data-start="2953" data-end="2984">What brave thing did I try?</h3><h3 data-section-id="1gbj17g" data-start="2986" data-end="3009">What was difficult?</h3><h3 data-section-id="ivwzl3" data-start="3011" data-end="3032">What did I learn?</h3><h3 data-section-id="kn6d2b" data-start="3034" data-end="3057">What am I proud of?</h3><p data-start="3059" data-end="3131">Over the course of the summer, kids begin to see how much they&#8217;ve grown.</p><hr data-start="3133" data-end="3136" /><h1 data-section-id="aj2wc0" data-start="3138" data-end="3169">The Summer Courage Collection</h1><p data-start="3171" data-end="3193">Have children collect:</p><p data-start="3195" data-end="3204">📸 Photos</p><p data-start="3206" data-end="3217">🎨 Drawings</p><p data-start="3219" data-end="3227">📝 Notes</p><p data-start="3229" data-end="3244">🏅 Certificates</p><p data-start="3246" data-end="3305">that represent brave things they did throughout the summer.</p><p data-start="3307" data-end="3390">By August, they&#8217;ll have a visual reminder that they are stronger than they thought.</p><hr data-start="3392" data-end="3395" /><h1 data-section-id="xrahdm" data-start="3397" data-end="3433">Penelope&#8217;s Monday Morning Reminder</h1><p data-start="3435" data-end="3543"><em data-start="3435" data-end="3543">&#8220;Courage isn&#8217;t about having no butterflies.
